Vikings aiming to finish with cup final date - from The John O'Groat Journal website
THURSO play their last home game of the MSIS North Caledonian season tomorrow when they entertain Golspie.
The Vikings will be going all out for a victory which will ensure their campaign ends with a cup final appearance in Brora next Saturday.
Balintore await the winners of tomorrow's Football Times Cup semifinal tussle at the Dammies.
Thurso, without a fixture last Saturday, should be close to full strength.
Winger Gordie Steven misses out as he is still recovering from a fractured wrist, while defender Allan Sutherland might also be absent.
There is also the added risk of players being hurt playing for their County League sides this week.
Thurso and Golspie are evenly matched this term, with each having a win under their belts and the other game - the opening league fixture at the Dammies - finishing 1-1.
Thurso assistant manager Richard Hughes is anticipating a tough encounter.
He said: "Golspie will be right up for it as they haven't won anything this season and they will be looking to lift the last cup."
The game kicks off at 2.30pm.
Balintore booked their place in the final when they ended Alness's long unbeaten run with a 2-1 win.
Goals from Graeme McGruer and James Skinner had the home side in charge until Alness defender Martyn McAllister got one back just after the hour mark.
Balintore held on despite the late sending-off of keeper Edward Shearer after a tussle with Ross Jack.
