On Saturday afternoon it was a mix of (mostly) Port Services Cup ties and league fixtures.
Both Caithness clubs progressed to the semi-finals with resounding victories. Thurso won 4-0 in Alness and now are away to Invergordon and Halkirk United won 12-0 against Bunillidh Thistle and now face Balintore.
Balintore beat Dornoch 2-1 at Seabord Park and Invergordon won 6-3 away at Bonar Bridge after extra time.
In the only league game of the day, Golspie Sutherland moved into third with a narrow 3-2 win away to Tain.
Next week sees a full programme of MSIS North Caledonian League games as leaders Thurso entertain Golspie in the game of the day, second placed Alness United travel to Migdale to play unpredictable Bonar Bridge, fourth placed Halkirk United this time travel to Helmsdale to face their 12-0 victims Bunillidh Thistle at Couper Park, Tain St.Duthus travel to Dornoch and finally Invergordon entertain Balintore. all matches kick-off at 3 p.m
