On the second weekend of The MSIS North Caledonian League Thurso maintained their 100% record with their second away game in succession by defeating Bonar Bridge 7-2 at Migdale, with a hat-trick from Mark Nicholl, a double from Alan Murray, Lee MacDougall and a Brian Gray spot kick. Both Balintore and Alness picked themselves up from opening day defeats with Balintore comfortably beating Dornoch 4-1 at Seaboard Park and Alness United beating Halkirk United 4-2 at Recreation Park in Halkirk. Finally, Bunillidh Thistle started off their campaign impressively with a 3-0 win away to Tain St.Duthus at Grant Park. Next weekend sees the start of the cup competitions as Tain St.Duthus entertain Invergordon at Grant Park and Golspie Sutherland travel to Migdale to take on Bonar Bridge in The Port Services Cup First Round (both cup ties kicking off at 2.30 p.m). In the MSIS North Caledonian League Bunillidh Thistle hope to build on Saturday's 3-0 win at Tain as they travel to take on Alness United, Dornoch entertain Halkirk United and finally Balintore travel up north to The Dammies to take on current league leaders Thurso who will be hoping to keep their 100% start to the new season. All league games kick off at 3 p.m.
