Dornoch 0 Thurso 3 - by Iain Grant
Thurso on Saturday sealed runners-up spot in the MSIS North Caledonian League after comfortably completing a double over Dornoch.
Defender Allan Sutherland's opener was followed by a double after the break from the free-scoring Alan Murray.
As well as three league points, the victory also earned Thurso the Brian MacAskill Memorial Cup.
The deadlock was broken on the half-hour mark when Sutherland powerfully headed home from Gordie Steven's corner.
Thurso passed up a couple of decent openings before Murray weighed in with his first after good lead-up play by Shaun Forbes.
Near the end, Murray got his second after he found himself in the clear following a lusty punt upfield from keeper Michael Gray.
The brace gives Murray 35 for the season just one behind strike partner Mark Nichol.
